Here, you'll find a guide on the very basic HTML. Even if it is basic, it can
help to spice up your webpage.-Miko^^
Marquees
Marquees are a fun way to add a bit of excitment to your page(S). They can scroll and even bounce
along the edges of your page. You can also add a few fun features to them/ Let's look at the parts of the most basic one:
<-MAKE SURE YOU ADD THIS AT THE END OF YOUR CODE! Or else, the whole page will do the marquee!
Now, put it together: And you should get:
I'll add another simple one for you to learn on this tutorial. It's just as easy to remember
as the most basic marquee. This certain marquee bounces along the edges of your page.
Once again, I'll break it down....
<-It will end the same was the basic marquee does
Easy, right? Now, here's how it looks all together:
Fonts
Now the basic fonts are EXTREMLY easy to remember. You know the bold, italic, and underline
settings, right? Well, all you have to do is remember the first letter in those words.
For example, you want bold words...
Then do
this and you get this!
I told you it was easy! Here is all of them:
text = Boldtext = Italicstext = Underline
I'll also throw in this one. It's just as easy as the ones above, and it allows you to
add a line through your words, as if you just wanted them on the page but "didn't want them".
Hehe, I know that was confusing, but you'll see what I mean.
Text will give you this: text
You will learn all about changing font colors and sizes in an upcoming tutorial (Yes, it is
under construction for now.).
Adding a link
Links are very important when creating a site or webpage. They
can transport you to different pages and help to give your page or site a bit
more to look at ^^.
Let's break it down...again...
Text here
I'll replace the "url here" part with an actual url: http://www.neopets.com so I get:
Neopets: Click here!
You can, of course, change the url by copying and pasting it from your browser. Tada!
Pictures
So...you want to add a picture to your site now? Good. Pictures always seem to entertain guests,
even in the least bit. It helps to give your site/page a bit more decoration.
Breaking it down:
<-This tells your web where to retrieve the picture from
That's the basic code!
All together: Once again, I'll change the url around and I get:
And...there you are!
Well, you have yourself some basic HTML knowledge! Some future tutorials include how to put together a website/page and how to do more complex HTML.
